Developing A Daily Practice

Jan 28, 2019 | Featured Stories, H'art Studio

“A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence.”- Jim Watkins

This term, H’art Studio artists will work to strengthen their personal daily practice. What is a “daily practice”? It is a series of small, fundamental actions that, when applied with consistency, will inevitably improve skills, artistic work, and personal well-being.That means, right now we are busy reading, journaling, stretching, breathing deeply, and moving deliberately while we dive into artistic fundamentals such as line drawing, colour blending, shading, life drawing, composition, and perspective. Going back to basics, slowing down, and giving ourselves time to explore new ideas is a great way to recharge after a busy year and get prepared for what comes next!

We are pleased artist-in-residence, David Archibald has joined us this term to deliver music workshops this term.
We would like to thank the Harry Foster Foundation for their support of our Spring workshops.
