We launched the Weekend Arts Mixer project in March as part of our H’art Accessible Arts Program. Through the project, we aimed to create meaningful inclusive arts for seniors in long-term care on weekends and encourage more intergenerational connection –– and fun!
We have a few fun stats to share!
- 37 weekend workshops
- 800+ attendees
- 75% of attendees were senior residents
- Almost 25% were family, friends and visitors.
That means we boosted intergenerational connection through the arts!
We would like to thank the Ontario Trillium Foundation for providing seed funding for this project. The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is an agency of the Government of Ontario, and one of Canada’s leading granting foundations. OTF awarded more than $120 million to some 700 projects last year to build healthy and vibrant communities in Ontario.
We also would like to acknowledge ongoing support for our programs from the Harry Foster Foundation.
