In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, H’art artists were dealing with the disappointment of the postponed performance of Small Things and the uncomfortable experience of being isolated at home away from their regular routine and friends. We reached out to the Harry E. Foster Foundation to ask for support for the development and delivery of our new virtual programming. And they responded when we needed it most! Their support allowed us to create meaningful online programming, establish one-on-one and group connections, and pursue a visual/virtual art exhibition that we call our “Solo” project.
About The Harry E. Foster Charitable Foundation
The Harry E. Foster Charitable Foundation was established in Ontario in 1954 by the late Harry “Red” Foster and other private funding sources. Mr. Foster established The Harry E. Foster Charitable Foundation in 1954 to provide “seed monies” to organizations being formed on behalf of people with developmental disabilities. He became a successful broadcaster and advertising executive. However “Red” never missed an opportunity to call on his many important contacts to open doors for people with developmental disabilities whether through direct fundraising campaigns or sponsorship commitments. www.harryefosterfoundation.org
