A National Visual Art Exhibit Celebrating Freshwater
Connecting Canadians: Freshwater features original work from inclusive art studios and allied arts organizations from across Canada. Together, we are celebrating freshwater and the way it connects us.
H’art Centre is thrilled to present over 50 canvases and sculptures from H’art Studio, New Leaf Link, Being Studio, The Space, Creating Alternatives, L’Arche Toronto’s-Sol Express, Reach Centre, Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts, The National AccessArts Centre, Alternative Creations Studio, and Cool Arts Society.
This collaborative exhibit marks the culmination of a 2022 partnership with the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes at Kingston to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement and to connect Canadians with the environment, inclusive arts, and our shared resources. It is the first public exhibit in THE MIX, our new 4,000-square-foot community outreach space.
Remember to check out our associated textile art installation and sale, Fish, Birds & Freshwater. All of the art is for sale and donations are welcome.

..and remember to check out the art installation at the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes at Kingston!
In partnership with H’art Centre and supported by the Community Foundation for Kingston and Area, the Marine Museum’s “Our Great Lakes: Celebrating our Freshwater Resource” project was launched to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement and to connect you with the environment, history, and culture of our Great Lakes.
The project’s final art installation at the Museum incorporates pieces from the project’s artist participants and celebrates our connections with this incredible freshwater resource. A diorama-style community art piece will be unveiled on October 23 at the Marine Museum, 55 Ontario Street and it will be on display until December.
