H’art Centre, a Kingston non-profit, charitable inclusive arts organization, is thrilled to announce support from the artsvest Ontario program. artsvest is Business / Arts’ signature mentorship and training program, with a strong history and demonstrated success in building the capacity of Canada’s cultural sector. artsvest Ontario is a focused regional program, offered above and beyond the artsvest national program. This support will help H’art Centre build its capacity in the area of sponsorships through in-depth training, expert mentors, and a matching funds incentive. Thanks to this support, H’art Centre now has access to an extensive network of training and mentors, through group webinars, peer-to-peer networking and individualized mentorship from the fields of business and the arts.
“We are incredibly excited about this partnership with artsvest and artsvest Ontario,” said H’art Centre’s Executive Director, Katherine Porter. “Their commitment to mentorship and training aligns perfectly with our aim to share what we know with others through our MixAbilities Inclusive Arts Training program and other initiatives. Their commitment to supporting local arts organizations combined with their national reach is exactly what we need right now. It’s a win-win.“
This support comes at the right time as H’art Centre is planning an outreach to Canadian inclusive arts groups. H’art is building off of their last successful exhibit of work by artists with disabilities from across Canada, “Connecting Canadians: Freshwater”. As part of artsVest Ontario, H’art Centre is eligible for a matched fund incentive of up to $4,000 to support this effort if received by January 31, 2024.
